Liga MB Round 3 of Semi-Finals. Aguila and Santa Tecla gain leads

Aguila - Quezaltepeque 94-82

Aguila dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Quezaltepeque's 34. Aguila forced 23 Quezaltepeque turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-1997, college: Biola, CA) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 assists. Panamanian forward Pablo Rivas (198-1994, college: NCCU) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. Rivas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Santa Tecla - San Salvador 96-90

Santa Tecla dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to San Salvador's 40. They outrebounded San Salvador 56-36 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Santa Tecla players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 23 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Puerto Rican guard Brian Vazquez (190-1994) accounted for 32 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Panamanian Grant Alejandro (199-1993) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Roberto Martinez (-1991) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for San Salvador in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
